Özet
In this study, the relationship between electricity consumption (ELC) and financial development (FD) for G-20 countries except Russia, The European Union, Canada and United Kingdoms in the period 1980–2016 has been investigated with panel co-integration and panel causality tests. According to the findings, no co-integration relationship has been found between ELC and FD panels, whereas two-way causality has been determined between these two variables. These findings provide important information for policymakers.
