| BackgroundPalliative care aims to improve the quality of life of patients with life-threatening illnesses and their families. In home-based palliative care, family members often assume primary caregiving roles, making the assessment of their caregiving competence essential for safe and effective care. This study aimed to adapt the Care Competency Scale for Family Caregivers in Home Palliative Care (CCSHPC) into Turkish and evaluate its psychometric properties.MethodsA methodological study was conducted with primary caregivers of patients receiving home-based palliative care. Data were collected through face-to-face interviews in participants’ homes.
