| Özet |
| Introduction: Practice is crucial in nursing education. Today, technological developments have paved the way for new methods in this field. This study investigated the effectiveness of mobile virtual reality as a teaching strategy for surgical aseptic skills. Methods: The study was quasiexperimental. The sample consisted of 40 second-year nursing students taking the Surgical Nursing course (theoretical lecture). Results: The intervention and control groups had a mean age of 20 ± 1 and 20, respectively. The groups were homogenous in terms of age, sex, and grade point averages. All participants performed 12 skills correctly. There was a significant difference in skill assessment form scores between the intervention and the control group (14.50 ± 3.75) (p < 0.001). Discussion: The intervention group outperformed the control group in most surgical aseptic skills and the control group participants reported anxiety during conventional education. This result is consistent with the literature. |
